10. How would you define sexual assault?
Not wanting sexual attention or attention at all from someone that isn’t wanted or consensual.

11. Have you previously experienced or witnessed sexual assault? If so, explain?
No.

12. What can you do, personally, to prevent sexual assault?
When you see someone feeling uncomfortable, step in to stop it. Always get involved to help that person.

13. What should Texas State University do to discourage/condemn sexual assault, and how can they better help the victim(s) on campus?
"Texas State needs to create an easier way for students to be able to talk to someone besides the UPD. Taking the seminar class as a freshman doesn’t help when you’re physically experiencing it right then and there, and there needs to be someone on campus that anyone can open up to."

“No means no. It doesn’t matter what the situation is, a no is a no.”

11. Have you previously experienced or witnessed sexual assault? If so, explain?
"Yes, it happened when I was at my dorm. This girl I knew was forcing herself on me, sitting in my lap and trying to get me to kiss her. I didn’t really know what to do besides just to try and dodge her."
“I feel like a lot of girls or people just think that guys always like it when girls come onto them, but if it’s not someone I’m trying to go after then it just makes me feel uncomfortable. Why would I want to be touched by someone just because I’m a guy?”

"You don’t always know how to handle that situation when you’re in it. I wanted someone to say something or do something that made her go away, and instead I was frozen just trying to avoid her successfully kissing me."

Create a easier way for women, or students to talk to someone about sexual assault that will make them feel more comfortable to open up about it besides UPD.
