How would you define sexual assault?
Someone touching you or putting themselves upon you when you did not welcome it.

Have you previously experienced sexual assault? if so, explain.
Yes, when I was working at Firehouse Subs about five years ago, when I was 15. There was a guy there that was into me I guess and I told him I wasn't interested and then one night when I was waiting for my dad to come. He pulled up next to me and said come sit in my car it's raining so finally I got in his car and he tried to kiss me so I got out of his car and he then pulled me back into his car and tried to put himself on me.

What can you do personally to prevent sexual assault?
Keep an eye out for my ladies and men and give them a helping hand.

What should txst do to discourage sexual assault and how can they better help the victims on campus?
educate more and give victims a good outlook like a support group or a hotline.

I don't know. I can't control other people. I can step in if I see something, but other than that no.

What should txst do to discourage sexual assault and how can they better help the victims on campus?
they could include it more in the freshman seminar a little more.

Carly Nelson is a kind lady whose favorite holiday is the Fourth of July, which describes her outgoing personality. She is from Dallas and has been in SM for the past two years attending Texas State University. Unfortunately, she was not able to bring her three cats, but says if she could choose one of the three to live with her it would be her cat Bird. Carly listens to anything but country and her favorite movie is “She’s the Man” starring Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum.
