10. 10. How would you define sexual assault?
Is instead of being verbally harassed it is when u is being physical touched without consent.11. Have you previously experienced or witnessed sexual assault? If so, explain?
With me personally it was in high school, there was a senior who lived in my neighborhood who was very sexual, their was at least one time where he tried to grope or fondle me, I don’t know if he would have been violent if I resisted him but it still wasn’t consensual. I believe that is as far as it would have gone however.
12. What can you do, personally, to prevent sexual assault?
You need to keep an eye on your surroundings, learn as much self defense as you can, if you are in a public area look under your car in case any one may potentially be hiding. If you are in a public area and someone is attacking you, yell fire instead of rape, someone will be more likely to help u.
13. What should Texas State University do to discourage/condemn sexual assault, and how can they better help the victim(s) on campus?
There not be a way to prevent many people from doing it because they are intoxicated or in a unstable condition, the campus should light up campus more to prevent attacks. Go with friends to places whenever you can because there is safety in numbers. Be understanding and gentle to victims, don’t push anyone to talk about it because it may trigger certain emotions.

11. Have you previously experienced or witnessed sexual assault? If so, explain?
I have not personally experienced or witnessed it but I know several people who have experienced it, which is why I believe it is a problem on campus.
12. What can you do, personally, to prevent sexual assault?
Stepping in to help when someone is being stalked or made uncomfortable is important to helping. Having more programs that teach people on campus that it is not okay and the dangers of sexual assault will help.
13. What should Texas State University do to discourage/condemn sexual assault, and how can they better help the victim(s) on campus?
I believe everyone on campus should have the University Police’s phone number in their contacts as a start. Again having mandatory programs for sexual assault for students and maybe even faculty will most likely help at least somewhat.
Overall just increasing awareness and providing any necessary treatment will help those who have been victims to sexual assault
